SEEK is New Zealand’s number 1 job site, so it’s only fitting they run annual awards to honour outstanding recruitment companies. The SEEK’s Annual Recruitment Awards, or SARA’s are a popular choice award and winners are determined by job seekers votes cast via the SEEK website. This gives job seekers a chance to identify and vote for their favourite recruitment agency that they feel is performing exceptionally well.
The SARA’s were even more significant this year as it was a turbulent year for the New Zealand economy. Recruitment firms had a bumpy ride and worked extra diligently to find the right people for fewer roles available.
One specialist recruitment company – Parker Bridge stood out and won the recruitment industry’s premier award for Medium Size Specialist Recruiters for the second year in a row. Parker Bridge is one of New Zealand’s leading consultancies in accounting, finance, banking and business support recruitment in the Wellington and Auckland markets. It is the only recruitment company in New Zealand to carry Industry Best Practice Certification, and also one of the few recruitment firms to be working with a business coach. ActionCOACH Kevin Heppleston works with Hope Millar the Associate Director of Parker Bridge in Wellington. Kevin says Parker Bridge has managed to deliver consistent results in a challenging and changing market. “Parker Bridge’s niche is finding people who are different and creating perfect matches between candidates, clients and roles.” Kevin says his coaching this year “focused efforts on nurturing existing client relationships and creating new clients, as well as team development and empowerment.”
Managing Director of Parker Bridge Craig Hegan said the Wellington office saw consistent gross profit increases since the company started working with Heppleston. “What I enjoy about Kevin’s coaching style is his ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with both myself and Hope, whilst maintaining professionalism and confidentiality,” Hegan said. “He took the time to understand our business and his range of business tools and resources have also been of benefit. I appreciate how difficult his job can be bearing in mind he is paid by the business owner yet coaching the manager.”
“I am very happy with the results Kevin has helped us to achieve. I would have no hesitation in recommending his services to other business owners,” he added.
